Senior GBS Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide expert technical expertise in the installation, repair and operation of Global Broadcast Service (GBS) across its product line (AN/PRS-11, AN/TSR-11. AN/USQ-196, AN/usr-10 family). Coordinate response to ship and field technical problems (i.e. CASREPS). Additionally, provide coordination and TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP to other technicians. Will be tasked to provide technical advice to the GBS engineering team.

Required Skills/Years of Experience

Education: High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate
Experience: 10 years’ professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely. Individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens. Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Specialized Experience/ Preferred Skills

Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with GBS systems.
The individual shall demonstrate extensive experience with each of the following:

• Technical understanding of system operation and function of GBS
• Reviewing technical documentation of system troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures
• Technical experience of current GBS variants and their installations
• Use of test equipment for troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting and technical support of end-to-end architecture
• Mentoring and/or training junior engineers/technicians
• Successfully completing SOVT and on-site technical assistance on any GBS variant

REMARKS

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel
• The Labor Category for this role is GBS QC Specialist IV

Compensation: $95K - $105K annual salary
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
