Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with a strong focus on Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) skills, eager to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience
- At least a level 3 proficiency in NICU respiratory therapy skills, including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and intubation assistance
- Experience with mechanical ventilation in the NICU setting
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred or obtainable after hire
- Competence in using advanced equipment such as Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators
- Comfortable with electronic documentation systems like Meditech
- Professional appearance with all black scrubs as dress code
Location and Facility Details:The position is based in Stafford, VA, at a hospital equipped with state-of-the-art respiratory care technology. Working alongside a skilled and dedicated team, you will contribute to excellent patient care and support within adult and neonatal populations. The facility maintains a commitment to staff development and high-quality care in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy services in adult and NICU units, focusing on advanced respiratory support techniques
- Assist with intubation and manage mechanical ventilation for neonatal patients
- Monitor and adjust ventilation equipment to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation through the Meditech system
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and safety guidelines
Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Includes every other weekend coverage
