As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Specialist in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional presence through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and screen entrants, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with site procedures, helping to support orderly entry and restricted area control.
• Maintain a visible armed presence while following post orders, using sound judgment during interactions and escalating security-related issues when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
