Our success depends on a Platform Engineer Senior joining our program's Application Support team to monitor and maintain enterprise application performance across Production and Non-Production environments, support investigative and remediation efforts for complex technical issues, and work proactively and collaboratively with an entrepreneurial mindset to deliver O&M support that enables our customers and stakeholders to achieve their critical missions. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. **This is a 1st shift position with all regular shifts scheduled to start no later than 8:00 am Eastern (ET):** **- Regular scheduled workweek includes mandatory Saturday and Sunday for this position** **- Regular scheduled workweek days off are consecutive** - Choice of 4-day or 5-day contiguous workweek. **HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:** - Works with stakeholder user communities and technical professionals from different disciplines to resolve complex technical issues - Stages & deploys new code to update applications while maintaining baseline standards across multiple operating platforms in Production and Non-Production Environments - Escalates, monitors, and reports incidents in a timely fashion to ensure stakeholder Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met - Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of highly complex system requirements and system diagnostics of TIBCO BW, WebLogic, Oracle Database, and EMS services - Review literature and current practices to support business requirements - Provides technical consultation on current and proposed systems - Works with program's Security team on an on-going basis to ensure compliance with DHS and NIST standards. **WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:** - Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, preferably in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study - Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience - Required Technical Skills: experience in UNIX shell scripting; working knowledge with Git/GitHub Experience developing SQL and/or Jython scripts; experience in Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware administration, managing multiple application domains and configuring multiple authenticators; - Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability) - Required Skills and Abilities: excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; excellent communication skills. The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
