Pay, Status, and Schedules

• $33.00 per hour
• Full-time role based at Washington-Dulles International Airport
• Winter Operations: Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:00pm (as required by operational needs)
• Shoulder Season: Flexible—choose 5 eight-hour days or 4 ten-hour days
• Seasonal reference period: Oct.–Apr.

What You’ll Maintain

• Deicer trucks
• GRV (Glycol Recovery Vehicle) trucks
• Support vehicles
• Ground service equipment and related systems

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute local maintenance schedules to ensure reliability.
• Perform skilled technician work following established procedures and standards.
• Use technical publications—manuals, IPCs, schematics, blueprints, drawings—to complete tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve them within defined timeframes.
• Maintain accurate records; conduct both scheduled and unscheduled inspections.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years of age.
• Ability to speak and hear efficiently; read, write, understand, and provide verbal direction in English.
• Basic to intermediate computer literacy.
• Personal tools: sockets/wrenches up to 1" (up to 1/2" drive).
• Strong organization and time management for multiple deadlines.
• Working knowledge of fluid types and diesel-powered machinery/tools—design, use, repair, maintenance.
• Professional discretion with confidential information; tact with all levels of employees and client reps.
• Comfort with standard/specialty tools and diagnostic equipment (photo tachometer, scanners, meters, diagnostic hardware).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel to other IDS airport stations as needed (TDY).

Environment & Physical Demands

• Hands-on work in and around heavy moving equipment; exposure to noise, varying temperatures/humidity, and safe but potentially unpleasant odors.
• Use of hands for tools/controls; reaching with hands/arms; effective speaking and hearing.
• Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
