Role specifics and benefits
Position: Travel Physical Therapy Assistant. Start Date: 02/16/2026. Assignment is a multi-week engagement designed to immerse you in high-impact rehab practice across settings, with a focus on functional restoration, mobility improvement, and patient empowerment. Key responsibilities include assisting licensed therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, manual techniques, and modality applications, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as prescribed. You’ll help with ROM, strength training, edema management, seating and positioning, and patient and family education to support adherence and safe home exercise programs. Your role will emphasize safety, patient-centered communication, and a collaborative approach to care planning, ensuring continuity of therapy across shifts and facilities. Growth opportunities abound as you expand your clinical repertoire in orthopedics, geriatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehab settings, while refining your assessment skills and therapeutic judgment under experienced supervision.
