Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Back End Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Back End Big Data Developer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining the back end systems and infrastructure that support our Big Data solutions. You will work closely with the Data Scientists and Front End Developers to ensure seamless integration of data processing and visualization capabilities. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Big Data technologies, exceptional programming skills, and a strong passion for problem-solving.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Designing and developing robust back end systems that can handle massive volumes of structured and unstructured data using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Collaborating with Data Scientists to implement data processing workflows and optimized data retrieval mechanisms.
• Writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable code in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
• Creating and managing RESTful APIs for data exchange between various systems and platforms.
• Implementing security controls and ensuring data privacy in compliance with regulations.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data ingestion, processing, and storage.
• Improving system performance and scalability through performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Collaborating with Front End Developers to integrate back end functionality and ensure seamless user experience.
• Writing comprehensive technical documentation and maintaining code repositories.
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven work experience as a Back End Developer with a focus on Big Data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL workflows, and database design.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and parallel processing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• US work authorization.
