OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Portsmouth, VA by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

From Portsmouth, VA you will run OTR dry van freight across the country with predictable lanes and a driver-centered team. The role requires safe, on-time delivery, attention to vehicle condition, and clear communication with operations.

Compensation & Equipment:

• Starting pay at 65 CPM with weekly averages around 2,500 miles; bonuses for safety, inspections and referrals.
• Modern tractors under three years featuring APUs, inverters and sleepers plus reliable in-house maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections, secure loads and keep accurate trip documentation.
• Follow company safety policies and delivery commitments.

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience.
