Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Leesburg, VA, working in an outpatient clinic to help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Evaluates assigned patients, develops and implements treatment plans, delegates and directs discipline-specific therapy services, and serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Completes documentation, ensures care under valid physician orders, and participates in performance improvement and professional development activities. Upholds professional standards, organizational code of conduct, and safety practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school approved by the APTA.
- Active Virginia state physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
- Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, documentation (including letters of medical necessity and charge entry), and developing functional treatment plans.
- Ability to supervise and provide instruction to students and other therapy staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with outpatient scheduling and productivity expectations preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records and quality improvement initiatives preferred.
Assignment Details
- Clinic schedule includes coverage Monday through Friday with varied clinic hours: Monday 10:30 AM–8:00 PM, Tuesday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Wednesday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, Thursday 10:30 AM–8:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
- Position is 40 hours per week; exact schedule to be determined based on patient access needs.
