Document Control Clerk (Construction Projects)

This is a remote position.

B&S Site Development is a full-service large-parcel site development provider of services including clearing, grading, excavation, erosion control, sewer (storm and sanitary) installation, water main installation, paving (including roadbed, curb, and gutter), and sidewalks. We also perform drilling and blasting for both B&S and independent site development customers. Our geographic footprint includes Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and the Greater Washington D.C. area.

We are looking for a meticulous Document Control Clerk to manage construction project documentation. This role ensures proper version control, compliance, and distribution of important project records such as contracts, drawings, RFIs, and change orders remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and log construction documents into digital filing systems.
  
• Track revisions, maintain version control, and ensure timely distribution of documents.
  
• Monitor submission deadlines and follow up with project teams to ensure compliance.
  
• Prepare transmittal and maintain document distribution logs.
  
• Support engineers, architects, and subcontractors by providing up-to-date project records.
  
• Assist with project closeout documentation and archiving.
  
• Train staff on document control processes and ensure adherence to company policies.
  
• Serve as the liaison for document-related inquiries.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
  
• Prior experience in document control, records management, or construction admin.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (Pro core, SharePoint, etc.).
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
