Web Researcher & Event Sourcer

**Contract Position · 20–30 Hours Per Week · Remote - Based in Philippines**

OccasionGenius, now part of Hostelworld, specializes in discovering and curating exciting upcoming events from cities around the world. We help clients find engaging leisure experiences while ensuring event information is accurate, up to date, and reliable.

**The Role**

We are looking for a detail-oriented Web Researcher to join our team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in researching and identifying the best events globally, handling the complete sourcing workflow from discovery through to data entry. This role suits someone who is independently motivated, thorough, and comfortable working asynchronously.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Search for and collect events following OccasionGenius guidelines and methodology
* Handle the complete sourcing process for business events across multiple cities
* Enter event data accurately into our systems, maintaining high data quality standards
* Verify that event information is current, reliable, and complete
* Communicate proactively with the team via Slack and Zoom

**What We're Looking For**

* Strong web research and event-sourcing skills — you know how to find what others miss
* High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
* Proficiency with standard tools: spreadsheets, email, Zoom, and Slack
* **Ability to read and write in English clearly and professionally**
* Reliable computer and a stable internet connection
* Flexible schedule and ability to manage your own time effectively
