CT Technologist Job Details – Roanoke, Virginia

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel healthcare contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Imaging/CT Unit
• Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2500 - $2560
• On-Call: 1 day per week (7 hours starting at 5 PM, not the last day of the week)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia healthcare jobs)

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience (travel CT experience required)
• Active ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Virginia state license or eligibility for VA temporary authorization with another state license
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Proficiency in 3D rendering, contrast administration, and a wide range of CT procedures
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work at least 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Preferred: Charge, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma experience
• Not accepting local candidates within 100 miles of Roanoke, VA

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Conduct a variety of CT procedures, including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, biopsies, aspirations, myelography, enterography, colonography, and trauma imaging
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and effectively
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement
• Operate Siemens CT equipment and follow radiation safety protocols
• Start peripheral IVs and manage patient care in both acute and outpatient settings
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in Epic
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency imaging needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including phlebotomy, radiology, and lift teams
