Position Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Manassas, VA (Onsite)

Assignment type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 / Annually

Work Schedule: M-F 9-5

Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and internal reporting packages
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Supervise and support accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Assist with audits, compliance activities, and external reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis and operational reporting support
  • Support ERP/accounting system processes and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Prior Accounting Manager or senior-level accounting leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience with financial reporting and month-end close processes
  • ERP/accounting systems experience required
  • Strong Excel skills including reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Reliable, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented work style
  • Ability to work onsite in Manassas, VA
