Location: Northern Virginia (Onsite – 4 days/week)

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing technology company in Northern Virginia that is expanding its HR team. This high-growth organization is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist who can operate as both a strategic partner and hands-on executor. The role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the company’s HR function and employee experience during a time of rapid growth and organizational development.

Job Description:

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building strong HR foundations, driving employee engagement, and contributing to a collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including HRIS administration, onboarding, and offer letters
• Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, from job postings through interviews and onboarding
• Administer payroll and oversee timecard review using Paylocity
• Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries (health, vision, dental, life, disability, Roth IRA)
• Develop and implement employee engagement and recognition programs
• Collaborate with department leads on safety training and emergency preparedness
• Assist with employee relations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Support development and retention strategies in partnership with leadership
• Create, update, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation
• Partner with the Legal team on research and special projects

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role
• Strong working knowledge of HR systems and payroll; Paylocity experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently
• SHRM certification a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience implementing a 401K plan is a plus

Additional Details:

• Onsite role in Northern Virginia (4 days/week)
• Core business hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
