Job Overview

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads to build a strong sales pipeline for the organization. Your main objective is to engage prospective customers through outbound and inbound channels, assess their needs, and determine if they are a fit for our products or services. This is an entry-level role that offers a pathway into a full-cycle sales career.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our Marketing, Rev Ops, and Sales teams to qualify inbound leads and prospect outbound to our target lists via phone, email, and social media.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and social media to engage potential customers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota of Discovery Calls scheduled and opportunities generated.
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, and the website.
  • Understand and identify the prospect's pain points, business challenges, and needs, and interpret how they align to the FranConnect value prop, product offerings, etc.
  • Use discovery questions to determine lead quality and sales readiness.
  • Schedule meetings or product demos for the sales team for all pre-qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate lead data and activity tracking in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to align messaging and optimize lead hand-off; run campaigns, and further drive value through other lead-generating activities.
  • Continuously learn about the product, industry, and competitors to improve outreach efforts.
Requirements:

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and handling objections.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with others (colleagues and clients)
  • Hunter-mentality and driven by a need to perform and exceed metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
