• Location: La Crosse, VA 23950 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Employment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• BSN preferred
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Two professional references required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, and wound care

RN Responsibilities – Acute Care Nursing

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Perform central and peripheral line care, tracheostomy management, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, etc.)
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Participate in rapid response teams and follow isolation precautions
• Float to other nursing units within scope as needed
