Join Acas Inc as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Manassas Park, VA, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide support and assistance in daily living activities. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and hygiene.
- Facilitate community integration and social activities.
- Document and report on client progress and needs.
- Encourage and promote independence among clients.
- Collaborate with team members and families to develop care plans.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a commitment to helping others.
- Experience in a direct support or caregiving role is a plus.
- Must pass background checks and obtain necessary certifications.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to individual client needs.
