ARES Enterprise
Dunn Loring, VA

Job Description

Job Description

Description:

Ares Enterprise LLC, a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and trusted federal technology partner, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support our proposed work with the New York City Department of Education (DOE). The DOE, the largest school system in the nation serving over 1.1 million students across 1,800 schools, aims to enhance and modernize its Division of School Facilities (DSF) applications through this initiative.

This is a contingent, project-based position expected to begin around January 2025 with a 24-month period of performance, pending contract award.

The Full Stack Developer will collaborate with DOE’s Division of Instructional & Information Technology (DIIT) and Ares project leadership to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for key systems such as Water Testing Management, AHERA Management System, and Capital Management and Building Surveys. This role will support efforts to streamline processes, automate workflows, improve reporting capabilities, and strengthen system integrations—all in alignment with DOE’s vision of Equity and Excellence for All.

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade .NET Core applications that support mission-critical operations for the New York City Department of Education. This includes building APIs, front-end interfaces, and database integrations using SQL Server, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, and React JS to deliver high-performing and user-friendly solutions. The developer will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and DOE technical teams to define requirements, implement enhancements, and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems, including Salesforce.com and other cloud-based platforms.

The Full Stack Developer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, leverage Kubernetes and microservices for scalable deployments, and utilize Azure Data Factory for data management and automation. The role also involves applying secure coding practices, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting application issues, and optimizing system performance. The developer is expected to stay current with evolving Microsoft and Azure technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer in .NET environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

o .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Entity Framework, SQL Server

o JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React JS

o API development, RESTful services, Microservices architecture

o Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure Cloud services

o CRM integration, ideally with Salesforce.com

  • Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile / DevSecOps)
  • Proven ability to design and deploy secure, scalable enterprise applications
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Relevant and current Microsoft/Azure certifications required (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-400, or equivalent)
