As a **Security Guard - Media Building Patrol** in **Chesapeake, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within tech, media, and telecom locations. Your role will involve monitoring assigned areas, interacting with employees and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
+ Observe and report any suspicious behaviors or situations discovered during patrols.
+ Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
+ Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access control procedures and provide general information as needed.
+ Support emergency response efforts, including evacuation procedures and incident reporting, in accordance with site-specific protocols.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Possession of a Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
