Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to perform custodial and housekeeping tasks for our assisted living community. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the community and performing all tasks to ensure that the facility reflects a high quality of care and appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Clean all common areas by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing
- Empty and sanitize trash containers in common-use areas
- Move, rearrange, and dust furniture and fixtures
- Assist Dietary Staff (cooks) as needed with serving & cleaning the dining room after meals
- Appropriately label, use, and store cleaning solutions
- Monitor inventory of products for repurchasing
- Clean the main entrance/foyer DAILY to include glass windows, floor, doorknobs
- Clean bathrooms to include the sink, tubs, toilets & replenish tissues, paper towels, and soap
- Report anything broken, damaged, or burnt out to Maintenance Dept. (Carlos McCoy)
- Clean resident bedrooms & bathrooms to include providing fresh linens for bedding & hygiene products
- Knowledge of Infection Control Policy
- Ensure compliance with sanitation standards
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Previous housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites
- Ability to read and follow cleaning instructions
- Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment
- Ability to withstand regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, mold, dust, mildew, and cleaning solutions
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
The hourly range listed represents the good-faith compensation range for this position. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, demonstrated competencies, and the responsibilities of the position.
