Receptionist and Administrative Assistant
The Cathedral of St. Thomas More Rectory Office is seeking a Full Time Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to serve as the welcoming first point of contact for our parish while providing reliable administrative support in a faith centered environment. This is a benefit eligible position scheduled for 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable multitasking while managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism, patience, and discretion. Responsibilities include producing the weekly parish bulletin, recording and maintaining sacramental records and books, scheduling Mass intentions, coordinating weddings, funerals, and baptisms, managing parish calendars with accuracy and foresight, entering weekly offertory data, and providing general administrative support to the Rectory Office. Qualified candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Publisher, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work independently while meeting deadlines. Bilingual ability in Spanish is preferred. This position requires strict confidentiality at all times. The successful candidate must be a person of faith who is committed to Gospel values and who understands, supports, and advances the mission of the Catholic Church and the Parish.
