Utility Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Utility Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Back of House operations by ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in food service areas. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in the hospitality industry and are eager to contribute to a dynamic restaurant or catering setting.
Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of the Back of House, including washing dishes, cleaning cooking equipment, taking out the trash, sweeping the floors, and mopping the floors.
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment in compliance with health codes.
- Put the truck order away. Ensure all products are placed in their respective locations.
- Complete daily chicken rotation and filleting process in accordance with brand standards.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Ensure that dish and chemical shelf areas are clean and well-organized.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and leaders to ensure smooth operations during peak service times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with operating a commercial dishwasher
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service are essential.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
