Location: Altavista, VA
Pay: Starting at $22.67/hr
Shift: 1st Shift: 7am- 3:30pm 2nd Shift: 3-11:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our team in Altavista, VA. This role is ideal for individuals with entry-level forklift experience who are looking for a steady, daytime schedule in a warehouse or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks
- Use forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to load, unload, and move materials
- Transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Perform basic equipment checks and report issues as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 year previous experience
- Ability to follow safety rules and operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and dependability
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Work Environment
- Warehouse or industrial setting
- Moderate supervision provided
- Emphasis on safety and accuracy
