Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Associate in Reston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents unusual activity and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the location including offices lobbies entry points parking areas and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access points and observe on-site activity to help support authorized entry report irregularities and help to deter unauthorized presence and/or suspicious behavior.
• Support day-to-day operations by providing visible presence assisting with visitor directions and reporting maintenance life-related and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
