Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Direct Support Professional in the Fairfax, Alexandria, Annandale, Sterling, and Leesburg areas. SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY* Provide supportive services for children receiving Transitional Living Services in various locations including residential shelters, detention, day/community services or the child's home
* Fill in as assigned for any aide-level position in Residential services
* Document all activities specific to shift or service activity
* Ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environment in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations, and generally accepted practices CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Medication Certification required
* Minimum of 6 months to one year of Direct Support Professional or similar experience
* Driving record required
* Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed
* Valid Driver's License
* CPR/First Aid Certification
* Crisis Prevention Institute Certification (preferred)
* AMAP certification (preferred) CLIENT'S HOURS
* Day Program: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm
* Part-time weekends for day/evening shifts DTG ADVANTAGES
* Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral-health
