As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout your assigned areas. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
