Engineering Technician

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Engineering Technician** to join our team in **Chesapeake, VA.** This is an **on-site** position. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Translate, convert, and edit technical documentation. + Assist with the preparation, revision, and review of CSOSS technical documentation. + Support engineering and technical services for the development, maintenance, and integration of CSOSS documentation and systems. + Maintain technical records and configuration documentation for CSOSS updates and deliverables. + Collaborate with leadership, engineers, logistic personnel, and Navy representatives to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of system documentation. + Participate in training and technical meetings and provide input on system functionality and procedural recommendations. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED + 6+ years of related technical experience supporting shipboard or military systems. + Familiarity with U.S. Navy combat systems, operational procedures, and shipboard documentation such as CSOSS. + Strong understanding of technical documentation standards and ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures. + Must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions is required. **Preferred Qualifications** : + Associate's degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related technical field. + Prior experience supporting the CSOSS program or similar Navy system documentation projects. + Knowledge of Navy modernization processes, shipboard testing protocols, and Fleet introduction procedures. + Experience conducting ship checks and developing/update support documentation such as Tech Manuals or EOSS. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a US Citizen and possess a current/active Secret Security Clearance **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. + Frequently communicates with engineers, stakeholders, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information in these settings. + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. + Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
