As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you'll work alongside skilled surgeons and nurses, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes through precise instrumentation and maintaining sterile technique.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile field during surgical procedures
• Execute precise and safe surgical instrument handling and passing techniques
• Perform surgical counts accurately (instruments, sponges, and needles)
• Anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Assist in operating room turnover and equipment sterilization
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Registration with VA Department of Health Professions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
