• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 AM start)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070
• Unit: Adult Surgical/Telemetry (Bariatric, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, trauma overflow, Living Kidney Donor Transplant)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry nursing or Adult Surgical nursing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Telemetry certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult surgical patients in a telemetry setting
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document all patient care and nursing interventions
• Rotate through various surgical specialties and assist with trauma overflow as needed
