Carpenter's Assistant/Laborer
A Carpenter's Assistant/Laborer is required to provide all necessary assistance to the Production Manager(s), Project Manager(s), and Carpenter(s) by performing entry-level maintenance and construction tasks involving physical labor and basic carpentry tasks. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity for growth and development toward a Carpentry position. Start your career with BOWA today!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete all work as directed by the Production Manager or Project Manager.
- Assist Carpenters in completing their work, including but not limited to, performing basic carpentry work, getting material needed, as well as jobsite organization and cleanup
- Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks such as: preparing job sites, jobsite organization and cleanup,
Requirements for the Position:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in Remodeling or related work.
- Possess basic tool knowledge and furnish all hand tools and small power tools as necessary to complete job.

- Be polite and courteous to the client, subcontractors and co-workers; and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and point out unsafe conditions.
- Be able to communicate with others clearly.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of shift with a good amount of walking.
- Must have reliable transportation, tardiness is not acceptable.
Schedule:
Official workday: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or as directed by the Project Manager. Overtime is occasionally necessary.
