Airbus Commercial is looking for a Leave of Absence Analyst to join our team based in Herndon, VA.

The Leave Analyst will play a critical role under the direction of the Head of Benefits by leading the end-to-end leave of absence processes and delivering a superior experience to employees while maintaining effective governance and compliance with relevant policies.

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage Day-Day Leave of Absence (“LOA”) Administration:

  • Effectively support all LOA administration cases to include general administration and compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations related to leaves including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, USERRA, ADA/ADAAA, and company-specific leave programs such as Paid Parental Leave

  • Offer education along with expert guidance to all potential LOA inquiries while providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely responses

  • Engage with employees in the interactive process and document the process concerning reasonable accommodations

  • Support and document Return to Work processes across multiple sites and states

  • Coordinate required information regarding continuing leave cases with the Disability Carrier and the return to work analyst to ensure Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability benefits are provided timely

  • Enter paid and unpaid benefits for employees on leave of absence in the timekeeping system timely and without errors while adhering to regulatory and organizational policies

Drive Digitalization and Compliance:

  • Monitor and identify opportunities for efficiencies within the leave processes to ensure efficiency and compliance

  • Develop and document end-to-end leave of absence process including developing reporting

  • Attend educational webinars and workshops to continue to stay up to date on the changing environment of leave of absence administration

  • Monitors/audits vendor partner interfaces for data integrity including data research, analysis, and testing support

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Support additional projects including Open Enrollment

  • Develop and maintain relationships with HR, managers, employees, and corporate counsel as needed

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of experience and education

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources

  • Experience working with a variety of clients including C-level executives, preferred

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other Benefits credentialing desirable

  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) with a desire to build long, lasting relationships.

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite or remote: 80% Onsite

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.

  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.

  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 25lbs/11kgs.

  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 25lbs/11kgs.

  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.

  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
