Hospice Community Liaison / Healthcare Sales Representative
Fredericksburg, VA Territory
$7,500 Sign-On Bonus + Uncapped Commission
A growing hospice organization is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Community Liaison to support growth throughout the Fredericksburg market. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare sales professional who enjoys building referral relationships, working independently in the field, and making a meaningful impact in the community. This role is ideal for someone with healthcare service sales experience who understands how to develop referral partnerships and navigate the post-acute healthcare landscape. Hospice experience is welcomed but not required.

Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, Westmoreland, and Orange Counties
Position Overview
As a Community Liaison, you will serve as the primary relationship-builder and field representative throughout the assigned territory. You will work closely with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, social workers, and other referral sources to educate them on hospice services and support patient admissions.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, compassionate, self-motivated, and comfortable spending the majority of their time in the field developing referral relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare partners
- Conduct regular face-to-face outreach to referral sources throughout the territory
- Increase awareness of hospice services within the local healthcare community
- Support census growth through consistent business development activity and relationship management
- Educate patients, families, and referral partners on hospice services and philosophy of care
- Collaborate closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and exceptional service
- Track sales activity and maintain strong follow-up with referral partners
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare sales or marketing experience required
- Hospice or home health sales experience strongly preferred, but not required
- Open to candidates with facility-based healthcare sales experience, provided the role involved outside sales and relationship development
- Experience selling healthcare services preferred (not seeking DME or pharmaceutical sales backgrounds)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
- Clinical background or prior clinical experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance required
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000 – $75,000
- Uncapped commission structure
