Summary

· Estimates building materials used in the construction of new houses, townhomes and apartments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities; include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Reads and understands construction blueprints and other documents used to complete a material need take-off.

· Enters estimates into our POS system to provide a quote to our customers.

· Works with EWP, salespeople, installed sales to compile correct information for an accurate quote.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction blueprints and engineered layouts. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and digital Take-off software(PlanSwift).
