Travel Nursing Job Details – Cath Lab RN

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2320-$2380
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (13 weeks)
• Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia (22401) – Virginia nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (3 newly renovated labs)
• Start Date: August 26, 2025
• End Date: November 25, 2025
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30), with on-call requirements
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Daily Census: 12-18 cardiac cases per day
• Charting Systems: EPIC & XPER
• Scrubs: Provided

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state – Virginia healthcare jobs
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care nursing experience required; experience in cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology (IR) preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Ability to float within scope to support facility needs, including medical assignments and emergency department (ED) for medical holds
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Completion of up to 8 hours of onboarding modules prior to start

Registered Nurse Responsibilities – Cardiac Cath Lab

• Circulate and monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Participate in high-volume, high-acuity cardiac cases including STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Impella, and more
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs and technologists in a 3-person team per lab
• Utilize advanced medical equipment such as Philips imaging, Medrad injectors, and manifold systems
• Document all procedures and patient care using EPIC and XPER electronic health record systems
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support overall healthcare operations
• Maintain infection prevention standards and adhere to all hospital safety protocols
