Licensed Veterinary Technician, Neurology
The teams at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service and Virginia Veterinary Centers are proud to partner and provide care to further support veterinary neurology patients in our pet owner community! We're hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding Neurology team!
- You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):
- Venipuncture
- Placing IV Catheters
- Drug Calculations
- Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)
- Taking Vitals
- Observe, document and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition
- Providing high quality medical/nursing care
- You work well independently and as part of a team, practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients
- You adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are not afraid to ask questions, are eager to enhance your skill set, and maintain a positive attitude
- EzyVet and SmartFlow experience is a plus.
- LVT: ($30/hr + commensurate with relevant experience )

- 4/10- hour shifts per week
- The LVT position requires a current and active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia, or have an active license in another state that qualifies you to be eligible for licensing.
- At least two years of Veterinary experience as an LVT, or one year as a LVT and two years as a Veterinary Assistant.
- Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture and catheters
- Excellent communication, patient care and customer service skills
- Be flexible and adapt well to new situations
- Work well as part of a team
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and have original, unexpired documents to verify eligibility.
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and drug test (complying with local, state and Federal guidelines).
- Have a valid high school diploma or GED
