Mileage: Business-related mileage reimbursed

About the Role

We are hiring Network Services Technicians responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of broadband, video, and telephone services across fiber and copper networks. This role is customer-facing, hands-on, and essential to keeping our community connected.

What You’ll Do

• Install and maintain fiber (FTTH) and copper facilities, including Wi-Fi setup inside homes and small businesses.

• Perform fiber splicing, copper troubleshooting, and installation of enclosures and inside wiring.

• Use OTDR, TDR, and other test equipment to diagnose and restore service during outages.

• Climb ladders and poles, crawl under homes, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Provide direct customer service during installations and repairs.

• Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and personal truck/tools.

• Ability to climb poles/ladders and lift up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to distinguish colors (not color-blind).

• Basic understanding of fiber optic handling, low-voltage wiring, and 802.11 wireless networks.

• Strong customer service skills and willingness to work independently.

Preferred (we’ll train the right candidate):

• Fiber splicing and copper cable repair experience.

• Familiarity with broadband technologies (DSL, FTTx, Wi-Fi).

• Proficiency in fiber/copper color codes.

Work Conditions

• Rotation schedule may include Mon–Fri or Tue–Sat.

• Required overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Training opportunities provided; some travel required.
