Electrical Engineer
Our client in Sterling, VA is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support the design and delivery of complex electrical systems across a wide range of projects - from commercial facilities to large-scale mission-critical environments such as data centers, healthcare facilities, and airports. This mid-level engineering role is ideal for someone ready to take ownership of defined project scopes, mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-performance electrical designs that meet strict engineering standards and constructability requirements. location: Sterling, Virginia

work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and coordination for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and auxiliary systems across commercial and mission-critical projects
- Review submittals, prepare specifications, single-line diagrams, and perform system studies including short circuit and arc flash analysis
- Oversee junior engineers/designers while managing defined project scopes from design through construction support
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructible solutions
- Support field activities including site surveys, commissioning coordination, and representation during installation
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architectural engineering, construction sciences, or related field
- 2+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably with mission-critical projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design
- Progress toward EIT certification or intent to pursue Professional Engineer licensure
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
