We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated home healthcare team for a 13-week travel contract. Home Health RN Job Details

• Job Title: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Staunton, VA and surrounding areas (up to 75-mile radius)
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2050
• Patient Load: Average 5–8 adult patients per day
• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate for travel between patient homes

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (VA RN license required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent adult home health or hospice nursing experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proficiency with HomeCare HomeBase EMR (recent use within 6 months or willingness to retrain)
• Experience with OASIS documentation (recent use within 6 months or willingness to retrain)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Willingness to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic for patient visits
• Ability to participate in on-call and weekend rotations as needed
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and agency policies
• Perform start-of-care assessments, wound care, follow-up visits, and other home health nursing services
• Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN)
• Complete accurate patient documentation within 24 hours of each visit using OASIS and HomeCare HomeBase EMR
• Attend office meetings and participate in on-call rotations (typically one week per month)
• Maintain productivity expectations (30 points/week, equating to 40 hours/week)
• Provide home health care to patients across Staunton, Lexington, and surrounding Virginia areas
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with home health agency standards
