Communications Officer
Program Overview
A staff augmentation program dedicated to providing expertise and capabilities to IC restricted customer.
About The Role
High visibility impact on an enduring and evolving mission that requires a self-motivated, creative individual to serve as a Communications Officer in a Front Office environment. The Communications Officer is responsible for developing communications products in support of a customer Front Office staff. The Communications Officer will work with the Chief and the team to develop communications products in multiple formats of a broad audience. Key responsibilities include:
- Pulling together the weekly communications
- Editing and smoothing draft notes to the workforce
- Drafting holiday and commemorative event notes for Front Office review
- Reviewing content for positing to web pages for consistency, language and accessibility
- Helping promote events by drafting messages before and after captioning videos, creating transcripts and doing quality control on all of that
- Ensuring submissions to news use language relevant and accessible to the broader audience
- Post content, working with AcyMailing, Edge Experience writing articles
- Developing employee communications content that supports the overall communications strategy and reflects key corporate messaging
- Strong storytelling and writing/editing skills
- Finding and developing stories the publicize employees, innovation and relevant programs sharing the corporate culture and vision
- Working with the Communications Chief to manage employee communications, delivering content to support employee engagement and adhering to established time-lines
- Tracking the status of workforce notes
- Pro-actively engaging with stakeholders to understand communications requirements and shape communication plans
- Ability to use Edge to send senior leadership messages
- Developing multiple communications products, including but not limited to: newsletters, presentations, digital content, letters, brochures, training materials and video scripts
- Proactive seek opportunities and solicit feedback from team members to enhance programs, events and communications
- Writing and/or proofreading communications provided from stakeholders for dissemination to the workforce
- Ensuring all editorial content utilizes correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and organizational style

Qualifications
- Must have current/active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- BA/BS and 8+ years of experience; Masters and 6+ years of experience; an additional four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Superb written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high performance environment
- Must have an adaptable work style and be comfortable interacting with all level of officers and all communications styles
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communications skills to develop and generate content for meetings, briefings, documents, blogs and/or websites
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Must have experience with publishing content, especially Joomla and Edge

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range
Details
Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
