Hybrid Administrative Assistant

Position Overview

The Mortgage Loan Funding Specialist is responsible for ensuring that mortgage loans are funded accurately and on time during home purchase or refinance transactions. This role involves reviewing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining strict compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Finalize Loan Funding
• Ensure all conditions are satisfied and loans are ready for disbursement at closing.
• Review Loan Documentation
• Examine all closing documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper execution, including verifying that no required items are missing or unsigned.
• Disburse Funds
• Confirm that loan proceeds, payoffs, and other funds are distributed correctly to the appropriate parties.
• Mitigate Risk and Prevent Fraud
• Verify wire instructions and transaction details to prevent errors, misdirected funds, or fraudulent activity.
• Coordinate with Third Parties
• Communicate effectively with closing attorneys, title companies, and settlement agents to obtain necessary approvals and documentation.
• Manage Funding Timelines
• Track loan pipelines, prioritize workloads, and ensure all funding deadlines are consistently met.
• Resolve Funding Issues
• Identify discrepancies or missing information, escalate concerns as needed, and follow through until issues are resolved.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance
• Adhere to all company guidelines as well as federal, state, and investor regulations governing loan funding.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winchester, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.35 - $19.35/hr.
