About the Role:
FTS Inc is partnering with a growing corporate organization in Herndon, VA, seeking a Corporate Accounts Payable Accountant to join their finance team. This individual will play a key role in managing full-cycle accounts payable for a high-volume environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payables operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and is in-person .

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs.
• Handle high-volume vendor transactions, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely payments.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a professional, timely manner.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to AP, including accruals, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Maintain and update v endor records, W-9s, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Accounting, and Finance teams to streamline AP processes.
• Support audit and reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required).
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, month-end close procedures, and AP best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Strong Excel and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
