About the Role

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to grow in a fast-paced environment? Join our team as a Fabrication Assistant , where you’ll support skilled welders and fabricators in a dynamic prefabrication shop. From prepping materials to assembling mechanical components, you’ll play a key role in bringing projects to life.

• Assist welders and fabricators with daily tasks
• Prepare materials and tools for fabrication and welding
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Load/unload materials and operate basic hand and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Assemble mechanical systems and inspect for quality
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE

• Experience with general labor or fabrication support
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
• Experience in production or assembly is a plus!

You’ll be working in a construction-related prefabrication shop with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, long pants, and t-shirts are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
