SQL Architect/Developer
All DSI development staff have full exposure to DSI's platform (AEON) , which allows our employees to learn and work across multiple functional areas, including UI/UX, business layer, database design, and application architecture.
The selected candidate can be located locally in Reston, VA, or remotely. SQL Architect/Developer Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining databases
- Writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation
- Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity
- Database integration with the Entity Framework code base
- Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Creating and maintaining database documentation
- Implementing and maintaining database security measures
To excel as an SQL Architect/developer, candidates should possess a combination of relevant education, technical skills, and experience. Qualifications for this position typically include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
- Entity Framework development experience
- Problem-solving competencies
- Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 5-7 years of experience with SQL Server design and programming, including stored procedure development
- Working understanding of SQL, SSL Certificates, and Single Sign-configurations
- Experience with Entity Framework
- Experience with Windows Environment and Visual Studio
- Experience with .NET, C#, SaaS, and Scrum / Agile methodologies
- Good verbal / written communication with all levels of management
- Able to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Deep understanding of database design principles
- Knowledge of extract, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
- Experience with data modeling
- Proficiency in writing complex queries
- Track record of optimizing database performance
