Construction Project Manager (Fairfax County)

An award winning, commercial general contractor based in Fairfax County, VA are looking to hire a Construction Project Manager to work on an excellent variety of mixed commercial ground up and interior construction projects in Northern Virginia and DC. Positively, this company work on a variety of interesting projects throughout the the local area including interior office space, government, multifamily, retail, healthcare and education with values ranging from $5M - $15M. This a permanent, full-time career position, Project Managers who are career driven and want to become a Senior Project Manager in 2-3 years time will be attracted to this opportunity.

Your new role:

Join an award winning, commercial general contractor to the Washington DC construction market. You will be Office-based working alongside an established and successful field and project management. You will be reporting into a Project Executive, with the aim of you being promoted to a Senior Project Manager in 2-3 years depending on your ability to scale up on the volume and leadership of juniors.

You will be working on commercial projects ranging $5M-$15M and will all be local in the DC and Northern Virginia area.. You will be responsible for running the project management program, working closely with the field management team. Project budget and financial tracking, scheduling, construction documentation, quality control and client POC will all fall under your/PM teams’ responsibility. This GC have a separate preconstruction and estimating team that will support you.

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years of Construction experience working for a commercial construction general contractor demonstrating progressive growth in responsibilities.
• Commercial Construction ground-up or interior experience is valid and can come from any market sector of experience within commercial.
• A construction related degree such as engineering, architecture or construction management is desired but not essential.
• On-site position in the company HQ in Northern Virginia 5 days a week. Flexible work hours available.
