Estate Litigation Associate Attorney
Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Location Alexandria, Virginia. This is an on-site role with limited telework flexibility over time, starting with 1 day per week and potentially increasing to 2 days per week based on performance and approval.
Note Must be an active member of the Virginia Bar and have 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Estate litigation experience is a plus, but not required.

Job Description
- Represent clients in estate, trust, fiduciary, and related civil litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents
- Develop case strategy and analyze legal and factual issues
- Manage discovery, document review, and case files from start to finish
- Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses when needed
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients through emotionally sensitive disputes with confidence and empathy
- Collaborate with estate planning and administration attorneys on matters that evolve into litigation
- Help build a high-quality litigation practice known for strong advocacy and excellent client service
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Bar membership
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal research and persuasive writing skills
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Strong organizational skills and sound professional judgment
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and calmly to clients
- Estate, trust, probate, or fiduciary litigation experience is a plus
- Deposition and hearing experience is preferred
