Your role as an Account Receivable Site Specialist

As an Account Receivable Site Specialist at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our agency. This position is responsible for obtaining, researching, and maintaining essential client and third-party information while conducting thorough client account audits within a complex, automated accounting and financial management system. Your work will have an immediate, crucial impact on the financial integrity of the agency, as you serve as the first point of contact for clients.

By verifying Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance coverage, as well as client employment and income status, you will ensure seamless financial transactions. Collaborating closely with clinic staff, you will review daily schedules to verify co-payments and insurance authorizations while regularly communicating with clients, coworkers, vendors, and insurance companies. Your ability to explain billing practices and fee structures will enhance the client experience, promoting our mission of empathetic service.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Two (2) years' experience working in accounts receivable collections or the healthcare arena, of which at least 1 year must be in an automated computer-based system.
