Requirements
As Program Director, you will operate in a federal healthcare environment, working with stakeholders in organizations like the Defense Health Agency and Veterans Affairs. You will drive the adoption of advanced technologies to modernize healthcare delivery – in line with broader federal initiatives to implement digital health tools around automation using artificial intelligence and machine learning. This is a high-impact program leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape program strategy, improve healthcare outcomes, and expand the program’s scope.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all projects under the program, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
- Implement robust delivery frameworks to achieve operational excellence, risk management, and contract compliance across the program’s portfolio.
- Manage cross-functional teams comprising software engineers, analysts, healthcare SMEs, and project managers
- Ensure the team is resourced, and focused on meeting program objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate with the technology teams on the integration of advanced technologies (e.g., workflow automation, clinical tools, AI-driven tools) to streamline processes and enhance program outcomes.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the client. Maintain excellent communication with senior stakeholders. Proactively manage expectations and build trust by consistently delivering value and addressing client needs.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the program’s scope and value. Cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners to position the program for additional task orders and extensions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree related management or technical field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in delivery management or program management
- Direct experience leading projects or programs for federal healthcare clients (e.g., Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, or similar)
- Experience managing large, cross-functional teams and delivering complex, multi-million-dollar technology led implementations
- Demonstrated ability to grow and expand programs through excellent service delivery and relationship-building
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient at engaging with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
