Legal Administrative Assistant
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000
We are partnering with a law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, technologically savvy, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and document support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and email communications.
- Handle electronic court filings and maintain filing deadlines.
- Scan, organize, and manage documents within the firm's paperless document management system.
- Convert, combine, and edit PDF documents using PDF software.
- Maintain accurate electronic files and records.
- Coordinate projects and assignments from inception through completion while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist with other administrative and legal support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Exceptional typing, proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience working in a paperless office environment is preferred.
Technical Skills
Candidates should have experience with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
- Electronic filing (e-filing)
- PDF document management software (including pdfDocs or similar programs)
- Scanning and electronic document organization
- Document management systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary of $60,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience
