Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Advisor (WVMA1) to support the Taiwan M1A2T Abrams Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) . This position is part of a Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) mission supporting the Taiwan Army through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
The Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Advisor serves as a technical subject matter expert responsible for training, advising, and mentoring Taiwan Army maintenance personnel in the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, recovery, and sustainment of U.S. Army wheeled vehicles and associated equipment. The advisor delivers classroom instruction, hands-on practical exercises, and on-the-job training while promoting U.S. Army maintenance doctrine, technical standards, safety practices, and maintenance management procedures.
The successful candidate will develop and evaluate maintenance training programs, assess student performance, identify readiness and training gaps, and provide recommendations to improve maintenance operations and organizational readiness. Responsibilities also include assisting with the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), lesson plans, maintenance documentation, and readiness reporting while coordinating daily activities with U.S. Government personnel, the TAFT Site Lead, and Taiwan Army leadership.
This position requires an experienced former U.S. Army maintenance professional with a strong background in Abrams battalion or brigade maintenance operations, exceptional leadership and instructional abilities, and a commitment to developing allied military maintenance capabilities. The Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Advisor plays a vital role in strengthening Taiwan's operational readiness and supporting U.S. security cooperation objectives through professional mentorship, technical expertise, and hands-on maintenance training.
Key Responsibilities- Train, advise, and mentor Taiwan Army personnel on U.S. Army wheeled vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and recovery procedures.
- Conduct classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and hands-on maintenance training.
- Evaluate maintenance personnel on technical proficiency and task performance.
- Instruct personnel on preventive maintenance, maintenance management, tool accountability, shop operations, and recovery operations.
- Develop and improve training materials, lesson plans, SOPs, and maintenance programs.
- Identify maintenance deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to improve operational readiness.
- Maintain training records, attendance documentation, and student performance assessments.
- Coordinate daily training activities with the TAFT Site Lead, U.S. Government representatives, and Taiwan Army leadership.
- Support field exercises, maintenance operations, and mission requirements throughout Taiwan.
- Prepare and contribute to monthly reports, readiness assessments, lessons learned, and after-action reports.

Requirements:- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a 91X Maintenance Supervisor in a U.S. Army Abrams battalion or brigade.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. Army wheeled vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and recovery operations.
- H8 Recovery Operations certification required.
- Experience conducting classroom instruction, hands-on training, and mentorship in a maintenance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose equipment faults, perform preventive maintenance, and return equipment to operational status.
- Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance management, technical manuals (TMs), maintenance doctrine, and safety procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and instructional skills with the ability to mentor allied military personnel.
- Ability to evaluate trainee performance, identify training deficiencies, and develop corrective training plans.
- Experience developing or improving maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), lesson plans, and training materials is preferred.
- Previous experience supporting Security Assistance Training Teams (SATMO/TAFT), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), or international military training missions is preferred.
- Rough Terrain Container Handler certification preferred.
- HVAC repair experience preferred.
- HAZMAT certification preferred.
- Environmental Compliance Officer certification preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain at least an interim Secret security clearance .
- Must possess a valid U.S. passport .
- Must be medically, physically, and emotionally capable of meeting overseas deployment requirements.
- Must successfully complete all required medical screenings, immunizations, background investigations, and deployment processing.
- Must successfully complete all required pre-deployment training, including FACT , SATTOC , Anti-Terrorism (AT) Level I , and other government-mandated training.
- Must be willing and able to work in maintenance facilities, motor pools, field environments, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform physically demanding maintenance and recovery tasks.
- Must be willing to travel within Taiwan in support of mission requirements.
