Telemetry RN Job Details – Norfolk, VA

• Assignment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens Registered Nurse
• Specialty: Telemetry Nursing (RN)

• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM start)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Unit: Telemetry (may float between 5K and 6K units)
• Patient Ratios: 1:6-7

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Ability to float between Telemetry units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans
• Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel per healthcare regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
